The Whippoorwill song has been running through my head today.
"I own the cattle on a thousand hills . . .
I gave you freedom to choose your own will."
I love holding my little girl . . . especially when she reaches for me . . . of her own will.
Japheth still comments sometimes about the thrill of having someone (besides his family who has to!) voluntarily choose to love him (referring back to our courtship days).
. . . It is the sweetest gift . . . and God knew it!

Wow girl. I've been reading through your blog and your courage and optmism, your faith and your joy are beautiful to behold.
It looks like you might be a mennonite or a branch thereof. Am I right?
And how do you do it with all those little kids? I was raised Mennonite and my sisters have children close in age like that. I positively do not see how you ladies do it. Keep up the good work and come visit me at my site someday.
Hi Amy,
Would you like to do a book meme (answer some questions about your reading)?
Total books owned, ever
Last book bought
Last book read
Five books that mean a lot to me
Tag five people
You don't have to, if you don't do memes.
Julana
Yes, I am a Mennonite.
In answer to your next question do your know the song, One Day at a Time?
Also . . .his verse is special to me II Cor.12:9a "And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness."
How is it done? . . . by trusting that GOD IS ABLE to carry me through!
Sorry, Julana . . . I don't feel like I have the time right now. But I will tell you the last book I read is "The Power of Motherhood" by Nancy Campbell (http:\\www.nash.net\rubies.html)It was an inspiration and encouragement to me! I had borrowed it . . . I decided that I want to buy one to have on hand to reread it every now and then. The last book we bought was Dr. Joseph Webb's book, "Till Death Do Us Part?" (Webbministries@cfl.rr.com) It was a pleasure to have him here in our home a few weeks ago. He has a God-given message!
Thank you for sharing what you do have time to read, Aimee. I can tell you have more important things to do than read, most of the time. :-) Time passes so fast, once you have children.
