Guess What?
Happy Birthday Aimee!!! As her husband, I have taken over her blog today. Help me in wishing her a happy birthday by saying hello in the comments. Let's see how many we can give her on her special day! Thanks! -Japheth
Even though this day brings another higher number to your age, you will always be the young lady who stole my heart. Thank you for all the joys you have brought into my life. We have been through alot in the last five years but God has been faithful in guiding us and leading us. Your simple trust, even when faced with cancer, has been such a challange and encouragment to me. I love the way you see little things that you can do to brighten other's day, or lighten their load in some small way. Like baking for Hope the other day. Truly, you are a wife among millions, and a treasure beyond rubies!
Happy Birthday Aimee! There's no way I could forget your birthday after all the years of reminding each other and everyone else, "We're only 8 days apart!" : ) I have so many good memories of our growing up years together. Thanks for being such a special friend then and now! You've been such an encouragement to keep on going even when things are tough. Life has changed for both of us....like phone calls are interrupted by the needs of our little ones and we don't get to communicate as much as we like, but I still treasure your friendship. And someday we'll have all the time we need to chat away...either here or in heaven. Wishing you a very special day! Cheryl
Happy Birthday Aimee! I just found your blog last week... you are an encouragement and challenge to me. I have three children, 5, 3, and 21 months. Number 4 is due in August. Thanks for putting the focus on the Lord, truly He is the one who gives us grace in this awesome job called parenting. Don't know if you remember me, I was Deborah Rohrer who grew up in the Harrisonburg area. Now I'm married to my Georgia man, Burton Heatwole, so I've been transplanted too. Hope your birthday was wonderful. Thanks for sharing!
Yeah, Cheryl, those memories are special . . . It will be so fun to sit in our rockers when we are 80 years old and "catch up". Life is full right now . . . then we will have "all the time in the world!" About heaven . . . That's a neat thought! . . . We can make all kinds of "connections" and reminisce to our hearts content! By the way, I missed YOUR birthday! Happy Birthday, DEAR FRIEND!
Heidi, you make lots of my days special! I'm so glad you are close by!
Hans, thanks for caring! Nice meeting you in your blog!
Naomi, you're a sweet gal! And that is an answer to prayer! I prayed that it might be a help to some other Moms out there . . . Thanks for letting me know! Sometimes just sharing in the struggle makes the load lighter for each of us! I'm glad you don't think us "crazy" for welcoming the children God sends us. Today a lady just let us know by her tone that we must be weird or something. "Four!!!!!!! Are you done now?!!!?!!!?!!! But then later in our conversation she admitted that she wished they would've had more than two. God bless your day!
I remember a poster my Aunt Josie had on her wall. It was a picture of a little girl looking up into the sky, smiling. It said, "God alreay made my day!" Yes, He can "make" every day of our life if we let Him! (She ended up giving me that poster) I love the message and often think of it!
Deborah, sure I remember you! That's one of the things I miss. Not living there in the valley any more, it's hard to keep up with friends from back "home". When we visit VA (which is about once a year) we don't have "enough" time it seems to satisfy my desire to continue relationships . . . Life goes on . . . Sometimes I wish I could just see a picture of aquaintainces, friends, extended family . . . or just chat a bit to "see" what's happening in their lives.
Thanks for commenting and allowing me to connect with you again! Yeah, parenting . . . it sure is an adventure! God's blessings to you too!
